One day about 3 years ago, I picked up a set of old cake decorating tips and I haven't put them down since! I'm part self-taught, part culinary school student. I've been inspired by other cake decorators, both professional and some very talented "home bakers". I've still got a lot to learn though... I've recently withdrawn from a baking and pastry program at Johnson and Wales in Providence, RI and hope to gain some hands-on experience in the form of cake decorating classes. I work full-time, so cake decorating is only a hobby, done when I "have the time" or when the need arises!
